Silence
a constant;
sound,
a variable.
Within silence
sound exists;
Silence needs
no cause.
Sound,
like light,
needs a reason.
Light is momentary;
Darkness, eternal.
Sound can be created
but not silence.
At dawn or dusk
a short moment of
both light and darkness
displayed on the sky.
A thinking mind
wishing to enjoy
that sacred moment
changeover into
Oblivion state.
Thinking is sound,
Meditation, silence,
a perfect moment
for the mind
to receive
what it is seeking
since time eternal.
